Quinoa Kuzhi Paniyaram recipe is a tasty  snacks  which we prepare with healthy quinoa, rice and urad dal with onion, green chillies spices and salt.

Quinoa Kuzhi Paniyaram recipe  – Ingredients:-
  • rice / idli arisi – 3/4 cup
  • quinoa – 1.25 cup
  • urad dal / ulundham paruppu – 1/2 cup
  • fenugreek seeds / vendhayam – 1/2 tsp

  • onion – 1 cup (chopped)
  • green chillies – 2 number (chopped)
  • cashew nuts – 10 number (chopped)
  • coriander leaves – 1 cup (chopped)
  • mustard seeds / kadugu – 1 tsp
  • curry leaves / karuvepilai – few (chopped)
  • salt – to taste

Quinoa Kuzhi Paniyaram recipe – Method of preparation:-

1. Firstly wash and soak quinoa and rice together in a cup. Urad dal plus fenugreek seeds together in another cup. Allow them to be soaked for 3 hours.

2. Secondly after 3 hours grind urad dal and fenugreek seeds separately until you get a smooth batter. As a result you need around 25 to grind.

3. Thirdly grind quinoa and rice separately in a wet grinder until you get a smooth batter. For this you can grind for around 25 minutes. Then mix both the batter adding little salt evenly. Allow it to ferment for over night.

4. After that heat one tea spoon of oil in a fry pan and add mustard seeds.

5. When it splutters add chopped cashew nuts and fry.

6. Then add chopped green chillies.

7. Next add chopped curry leaves.

8. Similarly add chopped onion and sauté well.

9. When it turns pale switch off and put into the fermented batter.

10. Add chopped coriander and mix well.

11. Add little salt as we have already added to the batter before fermentation.

12. Finally heat a Kuzhi Paniyaram pan and add oil into the mounds.

13. Fill the moulds with prepared batter.

14. Close with a lid.

15. Flip the paniyarams.
