Green peas coconut milk | Mutter Kuzhambu | pattani is prepared with ingredients Mutter/ pachai pattani/ green peas with coconut milk and spices to use as side dish for rice or idli. We have already seen about  pudalangai thengai paal kuzhambu and  mushroom with coconut milk gravy

Today let us see about the preparation of kuzhambu which will be in liquid consistency.


  • Green peas – 1 cup / 1/4 kg
  • Onion – 1 (chopped)
  • Garlic – 12 – 15 cloves
  • Tomato – 1 (chopped)

  • Coconut milk – from 1/2 a coconut

  • Sambar powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – to taste

For Garnishing:-

  • Ghee – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – few


1. Cook onion, garlic, tomato and green peas with required water in a pan. Close lid.

2. When peas were fully cooked, add sambar powder, turmeric powder and salt. Close again and cook for 5 more minutes.

3. Now switch off the flame, add coconut milk and check for taste (salt)

4. Now Heat another pan with one tsp of ghee. Add cumin seeds and when it splutters add curry leaves. Switch off flame and transfer to the Kuzhambu. Serve along with idli, dosa or rice.
