Dry Fruits – Honey Laddu | Modak recipe teaches you to prepare a laddu or modak using dry fruits as base which can be prepared for Ganesh Chaturthi or Diwali. It is very healthy and can be supported for a meal.

Here we use honey instead of sugar or jaggery in the laddu as sweetening agent. We can preserve this laddu for many days without adding any preservative. So it helps you to serve as evening snacks to family members and guests instantly instead of preparing on time. So it helps as a healthy, tasty, storage snack. This is one of the best snacks to carry while travelling too.

Dry Fruits – Honey Laddu | Modak recipe – Ingredients:-

  • Almonds – 1 cup
  • Walnuts – 1 cup
  • Cashew nuts – 1 cup
  • Rasins and other dry berries – 1 cup
  • Dates – 2 cups
ingredients – dates, cashews, badam, walnuts and dry berries
  • Ghee – 4 tsp
  • Honey – 4 tsp

Method:-

1. Dry roast all the nuts for few minutes. Stop before they turn colour.


2. Remove seeds from dates and chop into smaller pieces. If the dates were soft you can use as it is. Or else roast them in ghee for few minutes until they become soft and then use it.


3. By now the roasted nuts will be cooled and so grind it into coarse powder in a mixie.


4. Heat ghee in a pan.

    5. Add chopped dates to it, and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Now dates becomes soft.

    6. Add rasins and other dry berries to it.


7. Add ground nuts powder and mix in low flame.


8. Add honey.


9. Mix well and switch off flame.

10.  Grease your hands with ghee and make small balls out of it.

11. Store in containers and you can use this for one month, as evening snacks or as anytime snacks when ever you feel hungry.
