Cauliflower Groundnut curry recipe | Restaurant style Gobi – a tasty masala with cauliflower for parathas. Onion, tomato, peanuts and til used to thicken. Nutritional value – and health benefits of cauliflower.

Cauliflower Groundnut curry recipe – Ingredients:-
  • cauliflower / gobi – 1/2 kg
  • oil – 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds / seeragam – 1/2 tsp
  • mustard seeds / kadugu – 1/2 tsp
  • onion – 1 (chopped)
  • ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
  • tomato – 1 (puréed)
  • red chilly powder / milagai podi – 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder / manjal podi – 1/4 tsp
  • cumin and fennel seeds powder – 1/2 tsp
  • salt – to taste

  • ground nuts / pea nuts / nila kadalai – 2 tblsp
  • til seeds / ellu – 2 tsp
Cauliflower Groundnut curry recipe – Method of preparation:-

1. Firstly chop onions, tomatoes and cauliflower. Boil water and put chopped cauliflower for 5 minutes in boiling water. Now it will be half cooked.

2. Drain water and keep it ready. Secondly dry roast ground nuts in a fry pan for 2 minutes or till you get brown dots on the nuts.

3. Remove from pan, cool down and remove skin.  Similarly dry roast til seeds separately.

4. Cool down and grind both roasted ground nuts and til seeds to a fine powder.

5. Further ground chopped tomatoes separately in a mixie and keep it ready.

6. Heat one tea spoon of oil in a fry pan. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds.

Cauliflower Groundnut curry recipe – Method of preparation:-

7. When it splutters add chopped onions and sauté.

8. After onions turns pale add ginger garlic paste.

9. Sauté for one minute and add tomato purée.

10. Keep in low flame, close if needed and cook for 2 minutes till tomato thickens. Then add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, cumin, fennel seeds powder and salt.

11. Mix well and add half cooked cauliflower.

12. Add required water. You can use the mixie rinsed water here. Close and keep in low flame for 2-3 minutes.

13. Finally add ground powder of ground nuts and til seeds.

14. Mix well, keep in low flame for 2 minutes, switch off and transfer to a serving bowl.
